North Carolina Employment and Training Association

CONSTITUTION

ARTICLE I.  NAME AND DESCRIPTION

The name of the Corporation shall be the North Carolina Employment and Training Association, Inc. (here-in-after referred to as the “Association”).  It is established as a non-profit special interest organization to represent individuals employed in the operation and/or the administration of local, state, or federal employment and training programs.

ARTICLE II.   PURPOSE

 

Section 1. To establish a statewide organization in North Carolina to represent employment and training programs.

 

Section 2. To promote and enrich the professional growth and competency of all staff.

 

 Section 3. To establish a system for communicating program ideas, exchanging Program information and coordinating activities with employment and training programs.

 ARTICLE III.  GOALS

Section 1. To assure quality programs that will enhance the educational opportunities and self-sufficiency of the people of North Carolina , through a coalition of employment and training operators, state and federal agencies and other groups with similar concerns.  

 

Section 2.   To promote the social economic growth of all persons eligible for employment and training programs.
Section 3. To facilitate the exchange of information and ideas of prime concerns to employment and training program operators and to further such efforts between local, state and federal public and private organizations.
Section 4. To support, enhance, and encourage participation in the development of the North Carolina JobLink Career Center Workforce Development System.
